CODE:

Bridge International College of English is a signatory and bound to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students published by the Minister of Education. Copies of the Code are available on request from Bridge International College of English or from the New Zealand Ministry of Education website.


IMMIGRATION:

Full details of visa and permit requirements, advice on rights to employment in New Zealand while studying, and reporting requirements can be viewed on the New Zealand Immigration Service website at www.immigration.govt.nz


ELIGIBILITY FOR HEALTH SERVICES:

Generally international students are not enligible for publicly funded health services while staying in New Zealand. However, If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you could be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly-funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health website at www.moh.govt.nz.


ACCIDENT INSURANCE:

Accident insurance is provided by the Accident Compensation Corporation to all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand, although you may still be responsible for all other medical and related costs. To view ACC entitlements at www.acc.co.nz.


MEDICAL AND TRAVEL INSURANCE:

While studying in New Zealand, international students must have arranged appropriate and current medical and travel insurance.


FEES AND ACCOMMODATION PAYMENTS:

All tuition fees and accommodation payments, paid in advance, are held by an independent Trust Account. Funds held by the Trustee are guaranteed.
